Urbanise Construction recently completed an incredible journey along Hadrian’s Wall, pushing their limits physically to support our charity. Led by team members Matt, Louise, Jack, Shaun, Jennifer, Danny, Richard, and Gary, along with Gary’s son, this six-day trek was more than just a hike—it was about unity, resilience, and giving back.
Despite facing tough terrain, unpredictable weather and injuries, the Urbanise Construction team showed remarkable determination. They not only strengthened their bonds but also reaffirmed their commitment to wellbeing. This adventure wasn’t just about personal growth; it was also about making a difference.
Through teamwork and the generosity of sponsors, Urbanise Construction exceeded their fundraising target, raising an impressive £3,000 for our charity — a cause close to their hearts.
Against the backdrop of Hadrian’s Wall, the journey provided a rare chance to connect outside of work, fostering a relaxed atmosphere amidst the stunning landscapes of Northumberland and Cumbria. Traversing the scenic hills and historic sites of Hadrian’s Wall left a lasting impression on the team. However, a sombre event cast a shadow over their adventure when the iconic Sycamore Gap tree was vandalised just days after they passed by.
Yet, amidst the trials, the fresh air and collective achievements provided a much-needed break from the routine, reaffirming their commitment to each other and our charity.
