We caught up with Team Glanville after their tremendous group triumph at Run Plymouth 2024! Here’s what they had to say about the day:
Beneath sunny skies, our team of runners poured their hearts into the streets of Plymouth, starting and finishing at the Plymouth Hoe, cheered on by a vibrant crowd.
Since January, our team has been diligently training, actively participating in park runs, and engaging in weekly competitions on Strava. Throughout this journey, words of encouragement and friendly banter have served as the driving force, fostering a sense of camaraderie as we prepared for the big day on Sunday.
In total, the team have run over 450 miles between them ahead of the event, what an achievement.
Comprised of individuals with varying running abilities and experiences, our team boasted complete beginners embarking on their first 5k, with others tackling their debut 10k or Half Marathon, and seasoned runners who are active members of clubs across the South West. Special mention to Civils Ganger, Jack Miller, who ran the London Marathon in an incredible time of 3 hours 36 minutes on Sunday 21st April raising funds for Young Lives VS Cancer having raised over £1800. He went on to smash his Half Marathon PB on Sunday with a time of 1 hour 35 minutes – fresh out of a marathon, we are impressed!

As a company committed to giving back, we’re honoured to have raised £3555 for our three chosen charities. Among them, The Lighthouse Construction Charity holds a special place as a cause we support, alongside Luna’s Fund and Rowcroft Hospice, chosen to honour the causes close to the hearts of our team members. Every donation received will be distributed among these charities, giving back to deserving causes.
The support from everyone has been incredible, from friends, family and colleagues as well as our supply chain. A huge thank-you to RSM Lining Supplies Global Ltd, Re-flow Field Management, Vospers Motor House Ltd, U-Drive Vehicle Hire, Eagle Plant Hire, JDP, South Coast Traffic Management Ltd, Hydroscand UK & Exemed, all of whom donated large sums to our fund.
A huge well done to our team on Sunday, they have done themselves proud, and we are filled with pride to have such a determined team giving their time and coming together for a brilliant cause!
