St Patricks’s Day Grand Slam for Charity

23rd March 2018

For everyone that bid on the England vs Ireland Six Nations tickets at the Lighthouse Club Charity’s Christmas lunch, St Patrick’s Day couldn’t come fast enough. For the second year in a row, the grand slam was at stake as England met Ireland on the final weekend and this was going to be a tough game.

To get everyone fired up for the occasion, our VIP guests were treated to a unique and fabulous hospitality package which included an invitation to the Captain’s House Party by Chris Robshaw. The house party was within a ‘spin pass’ away from the south stand at Twickenham!

Our guests were entertained by some of rugby’s past and present legends including Mark Regan, Martin Offiah and Marland Yarde (Eng) and Shane Byrne (Ire). Expectations were high and so was the laughter level.

And the VIP treatment didn’t stop there. As well as a full drinks package including champagne, cocktails, spirits, wine and beer, a Michelin Star quality tasting menu was provided by Master Chef 2013 Professional Finalist Steven Edwards.

Sports presenter Alex Payne managed proceedings at the pre and post-match parties and celebrations carried on for some time afterwards!

Ireland secured their much deserved grand slam victory winning 24-15, but the real winner on the day was the Lighthouse Club Charity, who thanks to everyone’s generosity raised £20,000 for construction workers in need. We’ll call that a full house I think!
