Recently, our Yorkshire Club welcomed over 130 guests to their Yorkshire Lighthouse Charity Spring Ball at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds. The Spring Ball, which was the first of their events this year, continues to be a massive success and grows from year to year.
The evening began with a drinks reception and a warm welcome from our Yorkshire Regional Chairman Alan Wright. Throughout the night, magician Mark Waddington wowed guests with an array of close-up magic. The raffle was a huge success with prizes including an overnight stay at the Hilton, hampers, a deluxe spa package at the Iverage Spa and Whistle Punk axe throwing for four people. As is tradition, guests also participated in a lively game of heads and tails as well as bingo, where the winner received £250!
We would like to thank everyone, including Syngenta, for this year’s donations: A boat trip for 6 from Acaster Marine; A murder mystery evening from Henry Boot, a champagne roof topsSpa & dine at Rudding Park from Kitching Plant Hire, A pullman experience for four from Wrights of Crockey Hill Ltd, an overnight spa & dinner at Feversham Arms from Oakley Plant, a Lego Volvo Technic from R Bunton and a champagne hot air balloon ride from Watts & Associates Auctioneers.
Thanks to everyone involved, we are pleased to announce that £12,612 was raised on the night! We appreciate all the efforts of the planners and the guests for making the event so memorable.
