Everyone had a great Golf day at the Southern Club’s annual golf day at Romsey Golf Club. The weather was scorching hot, which meant that few of the lads were wilting by the afternoon round.
11 teams of 4 played on the day and competed in a 10 hole Texas Scramble in the morning, and an 18 hole better ball stableford in the afternoon.
The clear 2017 champions were Gracelands Ltd who beat the John Reilly Civil Engineering team by 11 points. were winners in both the events, Gracelands 1, in the morning, and Gracelands 2 winning the Southern Shield in the afternoon.
Each year all the teams that compete are asked to contribute 4 golf related prizes which means that at the end of the day everyone went home with a prize.
Thanks to Romsey Golf Club who provided some fantastic food and looked after everyone so well. The venue is already booked for next year, so make sure you put Thursday July 5th 2018 in your diary, and keep up your golf swing practice. Thank you to everyone that competed on the day!
