Earlier this month the annual South West Quiz was yet again, a huge success with over £1000 people in attendance.
17 teams battled it out on Friday 1st March at the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity Annual Quiz Night at the Hyde Park Social Club in Plymouth. Hosted by Sphere Solutions and sponsored by ‘Need a Cab’ it was a hotly contested event with 10 teams all within 10 points of the eventual winners Lloyds Bank.
Various construction companies were in attendance including Kier, Classic Builders, Obedair, Total Repair Service (TRS), Hydrock and local firms including Need a Cab, Lloyds Bank and Plymouth City Council.
The event was a fundraiser set up by Rob Bennett (Sphere Solutions) and Brian McGlinchey (Lloyds Bank) and their wives Louise and Jo to raise money for their Virgin London Marathon event on the 28th April 2019 – Details can be found or donations made at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/robert-bennett12
Once all the table and auction prizes are paid in, Rob and Brian expect to be well over their target of £2,500.
