The 2024 Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards Dinner brought together over 500 professionals from across the construction and built environment sector to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and outstanding achievement. Organised by SECBE, a non-profit dedicated to driving change in the industry, the awards embody its mission to “recognise the best and inspire the rest.”
This year’s event saw over 100 entries, resulting in 81 finalists representing a diverse range of disciplines, trades, and professions from across London and the South East. The awards showcased projects and initiatives that reflect the industry’s commitment to improvement and innovation, while also providing a platform for connection and learning.
A heartfelt presentation by Rachel Birtles from Lighthouse Charity highlighted the crucial support the charity provides to construction workers and their families, leaving the audience inspired. The dinner raised over £2,500, continuing SECBE’s partnership with us, which began in 2022.
The evening also celebrated 16 winners who were recognised for their exceptional contributions to the sector. The awards’ inclusive nature, spanning all areas of the industry, drew praise for its ability to unite diverse voices under one roof.
