The Provelio team took part in the London 10 Peaks Challenge, which involved walking 42km across London.
Every year, they hold a Provelio Annual Charity Event. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the company to come together and raise money for a common cause. Historically, these have been walks, from traversing the Brecon Beacons to hiking over the Yorkshire Three Peaks and even camping in the Ten Tors!
In connection with this theme, they decided to take on the London 10 Peaks Challenge. Always up for a challenge, they figured this was the ideal way to re-launch PACE after an absence due to Covid-19.
27 miles is a long way to walk, but the weather was idyllic, and the company was excellent. Their staff completed the walk in just under 12 hours! They all thoroughly enjoyed the walk and didn’t even seem too exhausted by the end (as the picture shows). Doing a walk was a wonderful way to have a chat with colleagues they don’t get to see very often, and it ‘really felt like a team effort’.
When asked why Provelio chose to support our charity, they said that they were interested in choosing a charity that ‘represented what our staff were passionate and cared deeply about and related to what we do as a company’. The Lighthouse Club was suggested by a few members of staff, because of the wellbeing support we provide to those in the construction industry. ‘Health and Wellbeing is hugely important to us, and we are delighted to support a charity that actively supports this’.
