Our Nottingham and Derby Club recently organised a boat trip along the River Trent to bring together people from all walks of life in our construction community while relishing the warm weather and beautiful scenery. The day was destined to be extraordinary, and it did not disappoint.
The boat trip, conceived as a unique way to raise funds for our charity, drew participants eager to contribute and enjoy the scenic beauty of the River Trent. The riverbanks became a kaleidoscope of colours and creativity with participants donning fancy dress for the occasion.
While the main objective was to raise funds for the charity, the organisers ensured that the journey was just as rewarding as the destination. Throughout the trip, representatives from the Lighthouse Charity provided insightful information about the charity’s mission and the impact the funds raised would make, serving as a reminder of the core purpose behind the event.
