KnockMe Down… but I’ll get up again!

8th October 2019

The team from Lorclon completed yet another epic challenge for their annual Lighthouse Day! This year they completed the KnockMe Down Active race in Co Tipperary, Ireland.

Michael O’Meara and Eugene McLoughlin both took part in the Knock ME Down MOR Challenge. Covering an impressive 57km, the course included 9km of running, 500m of kayaking and 48km of cycling. Both completed well ahead of their target times with Mick coming a staggering 11th overall.

The rest of the team took part in the Knock ME Down Challenge, which involved a shorter but still challenging 35km course consisting of 5km of running, 500m of kayaking and 30km of cycling. Again, everyone completed ahead of their target times with a special mention to John Quinn who tore through the field while competing in his 1st challenge! One team member commented;

“Thankfully the weather was beautiful, resulting in a highly enjoyable challenge, and we are already looking forward to next year’s event.”

Huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part.
