The Western Club, along with 90 members and guests dressed to impress to attend the annual Summer Ball at The Cadbury Club in Bristol.
Along with their guests, members enjoyed a lovely 3-course meal, were mesmerised by tricks from a table magician, and were further entertained by a game of ‘Heads and Tails’; the winner of which received a 3-course Sunday lunch for 4 at the venue.
Dinner was followed by the annual raffle, with a washing machine donated by Howdens as the main prize. Winner Stella Hodges kindly donated it back to be auctioned raising an additional £300, to be added to the money raised from football and rugby tickets donated by members.
Guests then donned their dancing shoes and boogied until 1am to music provided by Jordan Hill, finishing with a great rendition of a Freddie Mercury song. Chairman Alan Waterson commented;
“Well done Jordon Hill, you had us all rocking away!”
