The West of Scotland Branch held their annual golf day again this year at the luxurious Drumpellier Golf Club in Coatbridge on Friday 14 June.
It was a glorious day for a round of golf, as 64 members and their guests took over the whole club for the competition. The event was kindly sponsored by Patersons Quarries and was followed by dinner, a few drinks and prize presentation in the Club House.
The Balfour Beatty team won the team competition, captained by the Lighthouse Club branch vice chairman Alan Gilmour. The other winners included;
- Branks Silver Salver – Best Scratch Medal Round by a Lighthouse Club Member – Alan Best
- Bob Ford Trophy – Highest Stableford Points by a Lighthouse Club Member – John Priestly
- Visitors Prize – Highest Stableford Points by a Lighthouse Club Visitor – Richard Smith (38 points)
- Richard Smith, Doug Wilkie & Gary Maitles all won a prize for nearest the pin and the longest drive
The event raised about £2,000 for the charity – congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to everyone who took part!
