The East Anglia committee’s launch event took place at The Talbooth in Dedham, drawing a lively crowd of 200 attendees for an unforgettable night of entertainment and fundraising. The evening followed a “Movies Through Time” theme, with guests enjoying a three-course meal, live entertainment, and a variety of exciting fundraising activities, including auctions, raffles, and a game of Heads and Tails, all expertly hosted by compere Aaron James.
A standout moment was the “Dress-Up Game”, where nominated captains dressed according to their table’s assigned movie. Competition was fierce but the “Barbie” table stole the show, winning the prize for best dressed! Fabulous entertainment was provided by Leo and the Gems.
Originally predicted to raise £15,000, the evening’s fundraising efforts exceeded expectations, and the committee are delighted to share that the event raised and an impressive £24,796.

We’d especially like to mention Michelle Anastasiadis for organising the evening and Talbooth for hosting and donating raffle prizes.
Looking forward, the committee plans to grow the annual event and hopes to introduce new activities, such as a charity golf day, go-karting or horse racing event, so make sure you keep an eye on upcoming events!
