A big thank you to all members and guests who attended CONSTRUCT Day on the 6 October 2017 which was again held at The Brewery, London. This year’s event was attended by a record 530 members and guests.
An exhibition was held during the morning in which 36 companies took part. Whilst this was underway we had a taste bud challenge competition in which the participants had to guess the taste of 5 different cheeses, 5 different types of craft beer and 5 different tastes of chocolate.
During the Champagne Reception and lunch, entertained was provided by the ever popular Mike Herbert who demonstrated the magic of his scissors by cutting out extraordinary silhouettes of the guests.
Paul Sinha, the after-lunch speaker, performed a splendid and very funny act, engaging with his audience in a manner which had them waiting for the next part. Paul then remained on stage to run the Heads and Tails events and be photographed with the Awards winners.
The Taste Bud Challenge tickets sold together with the Heads and Tails contributions raised a whopping £6,306.41 for the Lighthouse Club Charity. A big thank you to all of you for your grand support. Once again, further fundraising will take place for the charity with the sale of tickets for the Peter Campbell Lecture on the 16 November.
Once again, we would like to thank all the sponsors for their support.
