Collen Charity Cycle 2022: The Sky’s the Limit

18th January 2023

Collen Charity Cycle 2022: The Sky’s the Limit took place over the course of one weekend, Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th September 2022. The collective target was to reach for the sky! Collen employees, friends, family, charity partners, clients, subcontractors, and extended supply chain participated in the event with no limitations and enjoyed the experience at their leisure, choosing their own route and cycling at their own pace. After a 2-year gap, some of the participants chose to participate in the Great Dublin Bike Ride, taking either a 60km or 100km route as part of the weekend event.

Once again this annual charity cycle received a phenomenal response, with project teams uniting to complete the event in Ireland, Germany, and Sweden, and other participants joining from Abu Dhabi, UK, France, Hong Kong, Spain, South Africa and USA. There were 140 participants in all, including some exceptional young members who took part with their parents, and 180 children from St Joseph’s Primary School (one of our charity partners) who took part in a relay challenge as part of the event.

Collen Charity Cycle 2022: The Sky’s the Limit initiative symbolised joining together, no matter the challenge, to build a healthier and more resilient society. Whether in our workplaces, homes, or communities, we all strive for a meaningful, fulfilling life. Over the years, the Collen Annual Charity event has shown what’s possible when we join toward a common goal. There is no road too long when the sky is the limit! These incredible efforts and the ongoing, generous support of our main sponsors, raised a total of €80k in 2022 which was presented to Collen’s 17 charity partners in December 2022 in their head office. This was a great opportunity to shine a light on those charities and their services, including the Lighthouse Club. Much of the fantastic work of these charities would not be possible without the support of everyone involved.
