The organisation responsible for much of London’s dramatic skyline, Canary Wharf Group have donated a fantastic £20,000 to our Crisis Appeal.

Alec Vallintine of Canary Wharf Group said;

“As an organisation we adopt a company-wide and project-wide ethos of teamwork and supporting not only our employees, but our clients and customers too. Now more than ever it is vital that we provide the support that our construction community needs and by contributing to the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity’s Crisis Appeal, we are looking after those in need in our construction community.

Without the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, there would be no support for our construction workers in crisis and we have already heard some truly heart wrenching stories about the calls they are receiving to their helpline.”

We are the only charity that supports those that need emergency financial or mental health and wellbeing support, within the construction industry The current pandemic has meant that our diary of fundraising events has been decimated, potentially leaving a hole of around £750,000 in our income. The Construction Workers Family Crisis Appeal has been set up to ensure we can continue with their vital work.

Bill Hill, our CEO said;

“Thank you so much to the team at Canary Wharf Group for this fantastic. It will go a long way to ensuring that we can continue to help our construction families in crisis at this very difficult time.”
