On 10th October, BBV participated in a charity football day, hosted by Llynch Plant Hire & Haulage, uniting colleagues and partners to support our charity. The event celebrated teamwork, community, and the unifying power of sport.
Football was chosen for its universal appeal, and the day exceeded expectations with nine teams, over 70 players, and a dedicated group of organisers working behind the scenes. Teams from BBV and their HS2 partners, including Galldris and MainLine, competed with enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere filled with friendly competition and camaraderie.
Aleksander Proda from BBV reflected on the significance of the day: “Football has always been a lighthouse during personal storms—a way to connect with others. This event was about creating space for people to come together and be heard.”
While the trophies went to Galldris FC and a combined team of Asset Protection/PMUK FC, Aleksander summed up the true spirit of the day: “We all won. We bonded, created memories, and promised to meet again next year for the same cause.”
The fundraiser supported a cause closely aligned with BBV’s values, and the team was proud to contribute to something that makes a positive impact. The event left participants smiling, united, and looking forward to the next kick-off.
