Daniel, a 42 year-old labourer has been working in the construction industry for over five years. Despite the physical demands and challenges of his job, he has a strong work ethic and is dedicated to his profession.

Daniel first learned about us from a work colleague who suggested that he reach out for support.

Daniel approached us because he was homeless and he needed immediate assistance to avoid sleeping on the streets.

We stepped in to provide him with emergency accommodation, ensuring he had a safe place to stay. We also provided emotional support and encouragement which helped Daniel recognise his inner strength and resilience.

With our support, Daniel’s circumstances significantly improved. He remained employed throughout his period of homelessness which gave him stability and we worked with the council to help provide him with a shared flat, alleviating his immediate housing crisis.

Daniel was very grateful for the support and encouragement he received from us and said “I would not have made it without the help of the Lighthouse Charity. Their support was a lifeline during my toughest times. They not only provided me with accommodation, but also motivated me to keep fighting and working towards a better life. I am deeply grateful for their kindness and encouragement”.
