ALLMI Membership Event raises over £1500

18th October 2017

Held on 11th October at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Meriden, the ‘ALLMI Membership Event 2017’ proved to be a huge success, experiencing a record turnout and seeing all corners of the lorry loader industry strongly represented.

ALLMI Chairman, Mark Rigby, said, “This is the third year in a row that we have organised a combined event for all membership divisions within ALLMI and, not only did it run incredibly well once again, it also proved to be our best to date by far, with unprecedented attendance levels and exceptional content.”

ALLMI CEO, Tom Wakefield, adds “We are also very pleased with the networking side of the Event and the opportunities it provided. ALLMI’s membership includes manufacturers, service companies, fleet owners, site operators and ancillary equipment suppliers, so it was great for representatives from all of those industry sectors to be able to come together and discuss common issues in a relaxed and informal environment. As well as all members congregating for the working lunch at the start of the Event and Perry McCarthy’s excellent speech in the afternoon, we also held a very successful social function in the evening which included dinner, fundraising (over £1500 was raised for the Lighthouse Club), live music, and superb entertainment from comedian, Jed Stone, who not only performed an hour-long set, but also acted as Compère for the entire night.”

Tom Wakefield continues “This is the third successive Event at which we have chosen to raise money for the Lighthouse Club. We acknowledge the excellent work that it does for the Construction Industry, and fully support its aim of providing financial assistance to those affected by illness, disability, injury or bereavement.”
