A Wonderful Western Luncheon

18th December 2024

Our Western Annual Luncheon was a fun-filled afternoon yet again, while also raising an amazing £8700 to help us continue to support those in the construction industry in need.

Once again hosted at Cadbury House in Congresbury, nearly 300 individuals came together to help raise vital funds and increase awareness for The Lighthouse Club. We can’t thank you all enough.

The afternoon started informally in the bar, before everyone took their seats ready for the entertainment to begin.

What followed was an introduction from The Western Club’s Chairman Jerome Timbrell, a brief explanation of how The Lighthouse Club supports those in need by Sarah Bolton, The Lighthouse Club’s CEO, and an encouragement for those attending to take part in the silent auction, where some truly amazing items and experiences were up for grabs.

After a fantastic three-course meal delighted guests, everyone was enthralled by the stories told by former Rugby Union player, Gareth Chilcott, before comedian Ian Irving stood up and had all in stitches.

Then came a lively round of Heads and Tails and guests settled back into their seats to enjoy the festivities.

The £8700 raised will go directly towards providing vital wellbeing support services to construction workers and their families in need.

We’d like to sincerely thank everyone who attended the Western Annual Luncheon this year and we hope to see you again at the next one!

Or, just maybe you’d consider attending our Western Summer Ball on Saturday 31st May, where we’ll have a magician to wow you, and live music from The Vixens. We hope to see you there!
