Not only was this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week a bit different to usual, it was also more poignant than usual. With businesses and individuals struggling in the difficult world we find ourselves operating, last week was a fantastic opportunity to highlight the importance of looking after your mental health.
To show our support to the Mental Health Foundation we hosted 15 FREE online wellbeing workshops, focusing on different areas of mental health, including; work life balance, managing stress, building resilience, mindfulness and an introduction to meditation. Huge thanks to the more than 850 people who participated – and special thanks to the FMB, HBF and CIOB without who’s support we’d never have reached so many people. The workshops were incredibly well received, and we’ve been inundated with questions about when they might be running again – so watch this space! To continue the theme of ‘kindness’ our app partners COINS kindly pulled out all the stops to ensure our latest app update was ready to launch for Mental Health Awareness Week. The fantastic updated app includes new features such as; mental wellbeing, physical wellbeing and financial wellbeing – it also includes a geo-locator so users can find support that is close by and more accessible. Even though things are hard right now, the construction industry came together to show their support for Mental Health Awareness week – as we knew they would do. Thank you to everyone who held virtual fundraisers or team challenges, or just helped spread our message – you are all incredible and we cant thank you enough for you unwavering support in these difficult times.
