Falkirk Tryst Golf Club in Stenhousemuir was the beautiful setting for this year’s Scotland East summer golf day. Hosted by newly appointed golf convenor Gary Madden, the day got off to a great start with breakfast rolls and a networking session in the clubhouse. Gary commented;
“The weather was very much on our side with glorious sunshine before, during and after the 4 hours of golf.”
12 teams of 4, 48 players in all competed in a Texas scramble format which was very popular with all who attended.
SW Financial Management walked away winners on the day with an unbeatable score of 52.6, winning some lighthouse Club branded golf goodies and a 4-ball voucher to return to Falkirk Tryst courtesy of the golf club. Nearest to the pin was awarded to Kevin Dodge from International Timber, Grangemouth and he also won himself a 4-ball voucher.
The golf was followed by a delicious 2-course meal and prize giving, with the day finishing with the drawing of the raffle. Generously supported by over a dozen local businesses, the raffle generated great interest and raised an amazing £1,585 for the Lighthouse Club.
