This greatly supported event, which was held at The Hilton Hotel, Leeds was ‘sold out’ in 7 days. There were 130 attendees who filled
the room to the maximum, 6 tables were even turned away!
Richard Hudson, Welfare Officer gave a great speech to bring home 'why we are here'. Well known 'MC' Malcolm Lord, did a fantastic job of controlling the room with his incredibly quick and funny quips!
The entertainment was provided by popular comedian Lea Roberts, a former Halifax FC player, who went down a storm.
Colin Crossland & John Roebuck of 'Watts Associates Auctioneers' of Barnsley did the evenings auction which had a great variety of items available including an I Pad, which brought in a £1k winning bid & a Leeds United football shirt raising £450, donated by Tony Brook of Harel (UK) Ltd.
A fantastic shooting/spa hotel package donated by Chippindale Plant Ltd of Leeds was also on offer & raised £900. Various other items included bottles of alcohol, cast models, hampers & plant glazing vouchers.
Over £8,000 was raised & sincere thanks go to everyone involved.
