The annual South West Lighthouse Club Summer Cruise was held on Saturday 10th August aboard the “Spirit of Plymouth” with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity flag flying high. 100 people attended the cruise, which took us from The Barbican, Plymouth up the River Tamar, through Plymouth Sound and the Plymouth Docks before arriving at Calstock.
During our stop at Calstock, we enjoyed music under a marquee by Greg & Bruce Clark of Quality Marking Services Ltd who entertained us with guitar and singing whilst we sipped Pimms which was sponsored by
June Jeffery, the wife of the South West Club's Chairman.
The weather was very kind to us this year with only a small amount of drizzle on the outward journey and it stayed dry for the stop at Calstock. It was a very enjoyable evening, with a wonderful atmosphere, disco, bar & buffet. The draw was held when we returned to The Barbican with some lovely prizes.
