On the 1st September the Construction Industry golfing gladiators gathered at the exclusive golfing amphitheatre of The Berkshire....
They were competing for the prestigious Founders Cup and the Construction News Trophy.

We altered the format for the day this year with the competition round taking place in the morning on the RED course, leaving the afternoon for the more dedicated golfers to enjoy a more leisurely networking round on the BLUE course. The new format worked really well and allowed all the teams to be available to congratulate the winners at prize giving and enjoy the legendary Berkshire Carvery Lunch.
The Founders Cup: This magnificent trophy is awarded to the team with the best 2 player stableford points. The prizes were presented by Cormac MacCrann Managing Director of Canary Wharf Contractors and Chairman of our charity. The winners were:
The Construction News Trophy: This prize is awarded to the individual with the best stableford score. Again this had an exciting conclusion. There were some exceptional low handicap golfers in the competition and some higher handicap players that were clearly having a “good day at the office” However, in the end the consistency of the low handicap player won the day and congratulations and the trophy went to:
Straightest Drive was won by David Cook and Nearest the pin by Shane Theobald
Overall the event raised a magnificent £5,200 for the charity.
