Hailed as ‘the Construction industry’s most exclusive celebration this summer’, expectations were high as over 600 people arrived at the Honorary Artillery Company in the heart of London to celebrate the Lighthouse Club’s 60th anniversary at this year’s Summer Ball on Saturday 9th July.
The occasion was marked in style along with long term supporter, the CPA, (Construction Plant-hire Association) who were also celebrating their 75th anniversary.
Guests were welcomed with champagne and cocktails in the stunning orangery and crowds spilled out to the garden to enjoy the summer evening. A delicious three course evening meal followed whilst Dan Boyles amazed his audiences with mind blowing trickery and ‘Rat pack Swinging Live’ went down a storm with people up on their feet to classics such as, That’s Amore and New York, New York.
The online silent auction fuelled everyone’s competitive nature and the star of the show, a ‘gold digger’ donated by Kubota raised an amazing £26,000!
The backdrop to the evening was the sensational fun fair, where guests twirled on the carousel, bumped on the dodgems and spun on the ferris wheel, as well as trying their luck on ‘hook a duck’ and hoopla. The festivities ended with live band, ‘Push the Button’ getting everyone on the dance floor to celebrate in style and finish the evening on a high.
In total the evening raised a staggering £75,000! We would like to say a huge thank you to our sponsors, everyone that assisted in the organising of the event and helped on the night and of course, all our guests who dug deep to make this our 60th Anniversary Ball such a huge success.
