The East of Scotland dinner has become one of the largest and “must attend” events in the East of Scotland Construction Industry Calendar...
Last year’s dinner did not disappoint held on the 12th of November in the prestigious Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh.
Going all out to ensure the continued growth of the event our guest numbers were up on previous years, the rugby themed entertainment started with our top table being piped, drummed and shouted in by the unique and energetic “The Pokey Hats AKA The Gutty Slippers” then our 320 guests enjoyed an exquisite three coarse meal expertly prepared by Executive Chef Malcolm B Webster.
Our thanks to the beautiful East of Scotland Girls (Sponsored by Keyline - Gary Miller) who were selling raffle tickets, big bang balloons (Sponsored By Speedy Services - Billy Bowie & Scott Simpson) and guess the time of the first goal tickets during the evening, £20,000.00 was successfully raised on the evening.
The evening concluded with our guest speakers, Scottish and English rugby legends, George “Doddie” Weir and John Bentley, skilfully beating our committee and guests in a good old fashioned rugby drinking game.
A huge thank you to all our table hosts and guests whose behaviour was exemplary on the evening as normal. Our thoughts are now firmly focus on next year’s comedy themed dinner “Live at the Lighthouse Club” being held on the 13th of November in the prestigious Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh.
