Last year Merrill, Darren and Robert Lynch of Lynch Plant completed the epic Tough Mudder challenge for their Lighthouse Day, finishing in just 3 hours and 25 minutes and raising £5000 for the Lighthouse Club Charity.
They’re upping the ante this year and are now preparing for another gruelling challenge by completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge which covers 24 miles and 5000 feet of climbing. They'll be faced with rocky terrain, steep climbs and uneven surfaces. When asked about the challenge Merrill Lynch commented "The most challenging part of the climb will definitely be the final 500m to the top of Pen-y-Ghent; but we like a challenge so we’re even setting ourselves a target to complete all three peaks in under 8 hours (the average time people take is 12 hours)".
Merrill continued "We are delighted to be raising money again this year for such a worthy cause, helping our own within the construction industry; and we will be dedicating our achievement to our late mother Celia Lynch who was a Director for Lynch Plant for 30 years".
The Lynch brothers step up to the challenge on 11th-13th August and hope to smash the £5000 they raised last year, so if you’d like to support them in any way please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
