THANK YOU to everyone at I & H Brown for their efforts, it is very much appreciated.
I&H Brown Ltd are a civil engineering contractor business that cover the whole of the UK with a Head Office in Perth and another regional office in Warrington.
The company decided to mark its 50 year anniversary by taking on the three peaks challenge, which is to climb the three largest mountains in Scotland , England and Wales (Ben, Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in a 24 hour period. http://www.threepeakschallenge.uk/national-three-peaks-challenge/
The company thought that this was also a good opportunity to support and raise funds for a charity, with the lighthouse club being the first choice for its obvious industry connection.
Their plan is to do the challenge over 2 days, starting the 29th May at 7.00 pm and finishing before 7.00pm on 30th May. The ‘team’ have had several training walks/climbs in preparation of the task. The 13 person team includes 10 climbers : Jim Townend, Stephen Mitchell, Bill Taylor, Lynda Campbell, Stephen Byron, Steven Mailer, Barry Angus, Steve Braithwaite, Donald Brown and David Blackwood, plus 3 support crew: Andy Manson, David Barr and Allan Smith, who will be doing the driving and the food. The company have even had special t-shirts made just for the occasion!
The company has approached many of their contacts and supply chain to help raise funds. Visit their justgiving page to make a donation/see how they’re doing. https://www.justgiving.com/IHBrown More information can be found on their company website www.ihbrown.com
