Hotchkiss Directors came up with one of the funniest and most entertaining ideas that we’ve seen for a Lighthouse Day. They asked people to make donations to the Lighthouse Club Charity and guess what the five Directors wanted to be when they grew up. To help, they had to choose from the following occupations, a farmer, a pirate, policeman, coastguard, a footballer, teacher, fireman and nurse.
So far, over £3800 has been raised and to encourage the spirit of giving, and to give everyone a laugh for Christmas and the New Year, all five Directors dressed up as nurses, (any excuse!!).
George Humphreys, Managing Director, said, “Along with many other companies, Hotchkiss support construction and local charities. This year, we have chosen the Lighthouse Club Charity as we strongly believe that what they are doing to raise funds truly makes a difference for construction workers that need a helping hand. We are extremely pleased to have smashed our target of £1,000, achieving £3,700 to date. Thank you to everyone for donating.”
It's not too late to donate to this fanatastic cause, so please visit http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/when-I-grow-up-I-want-to-be
The actual answers to the “When I grow up, I want to be” were
Giles wanted to be..a farmer
George wanted to be...a pirate
Chris wanted to be...policeman
Peter wanted to be...a coastguard

Thank you to all the Hotchkiss Directors for being such good sports and to everyone that supported them, from the Lighthouse Club Team.
