"Eddie" The Lighthouse Club's 9ft Mascot completed the Virgin London Marathon in just over 6 hours.
It was one of the toughest but enjoyable endurance tests undertaken by our very own Marathon Monster Jerome Timbrell of C2 Safety Systems. After the mounting inside the outfit gave way after the first half mile of jostling and the temperature started to soar, "Eddie" knew it he needed to be a tower of strength to complete.
Even the fond embrace of a 8ft "nurse" mascot on Tower Bridge could not put Eddie off his stride from fulfilling his mission... it was a question of pride and honour especially after the incredible lengths that the Barclay's Real Estate Team went through to raise over £25,000 to back the Charity's Lighthouse Club marathon mascot challenge.
Congratulations and huge thanks go to all our marathon runners, "Eddie" AKA Jerome Timbrell, John Bennington, Greg Clarke, Morris & Mitchell Lyons and Adam Wells.
Its still not too late to give these runners your support... simply click HERE
Another massive thank you also goes to all the people that supported our runners especially the Barclays Real Estate Team... when all the counting is done we might just hit over £50,000 which would be a fantastic result !!!
