Alfie Adcock takes on yet another cycle challenge for the Lighthouse Club.......
He tells us all about it.....
"I carried out the 100k ride (62 miles) on Sunday 21st September, up hill & down dale, which was challenging but I found it very satisfying. We were very well looked after, powered by plenty of fruit cake !!!!"
"I managed to visit parts of Kent that I didn't even know existed! The route took us from Seal in West Kent to East Peckham in the South, Cuxton in the East & Istead Rise in the North. We crossed the River Medway in four places , the highlight being crossing at Cuxton on the High Speed Rail bridge in the "sky" over the river".
The last 6/7 miles were uphill, so it felt like a puff of wind would have blown me over at that stage! I was presented with a medal & even more 'home made' cakes at the end in Stansted village."
"I will probably do it all again next year, but this time I will do some training!"
