Annual Golf Day – 3rd July
The best that can be said for the weather in early July was that it was ‘patchy’. No surprise then, that our annual golf day had showers and sun.
This is a popular event and this year’s turn out featured twenty six teams competing at the spectacular Tytherington Golf Club in Macclesfield, among them foursomes from Speedy Hire, D. Morgan, Gap, and Vinci. We also had an entry from Bobcat Germany which gave our day an international flavour.
Our shotgun start at 1.30 p.m. was a signal for the rain to start to fall, but as can be seen from the photos, the sun did come out for us later. All twenty six teams had varying handicaps, so a fun filled and eventful day was enjoyed by all. Our good times continued into the evening with dinner followed by the prize presentation in the impressive Dorchester Suite.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and all our good sports, a sum in the region of 10k was added to North West Branch’s annual donation to our Benevolent Fund.
