The People Who Run It
All of the Club's Officers either work from home or use their workplace facilities and so the Club doesn't need a great deal of office space. The Lighthouse Club's office is located in Ipswich, adjacent to the Old Town's medieval North Gate. We occupy the upper floor, two rooms.

Ancient they may be, but the two rooms are comfortable, they meet the Club's needs, and are home, during office hours, to our Administrator Mandy Mallitt who, before Jane Lowry’s retirement, was our membership secretary.

The Club is governed by a Council of 15 members, five of whom are branch representatives.

Our Chairman Steve Barnett
Steve is a crane man through and through. Joining Neagron in 1973 he has earned a succession of promotions to where he is now sole Managing Director of Manitowoc Crane Group U.K. & Overseas, with responsibilities in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He is also Commercial Director UK/Ireland & Scandinavia. Steve joined our Club in 1992 and has long been a Corporate Sponsor of our Benevolent Fund.

Tim Rodway FCA
Tim has served as the Club's Hon. Treasurer for many years.

Robert Smith
Robert was the Club’s Chairman 2000 - 2004 and continues to be totally involved with the fund raising sporting activities of the Club: Football, (the Property Cup), The Construction Industry 5's, the Rugby 7's.

At our 2006 AGM Martin Roddy, who served as our overseas liason officer for over 10 years, stood down in favour of Les Leslie.
Les is a ‘frequent flier’ between Heathrow and Hong Kong and travells extensively throughout the Asia/Pacific region. He is secretary to the Club’s Asia/Pacific steering committee and is therefore ideally suited to act as the link man between us here in the U.K. and Ireland and our fellow members overseas.

Keith Chaundy
Keith, a Past Chairman of Council, is President of the Lighthouse Club Golfing Society and organises our Pro-Am and our day at the Berkshire.

Don Baldry
Don is responsible for this website. Now retired, Don joined John Mowlem's Plant Division in 1951. Trained as a plant operator. Moved to plant management. Worked for Higgs and Hill for 25 years.
